Get ready to make magic in your kitchen. We'll supply you with a shopping list, prep video, and all the recipes so you can cook along side us in your kitchen!

Get your taste buds ready! You'll learn how to make a delicious spiced Thali plate of food. This will represent the 6 flavors, using spices and everyday ingredients you already have on hand, in a new way!

In addition to the recipes we'll make together in class, we'll share cooking and prep techniques that will make your meals more nutritious and delicious.

10:00 - 12:00 PM PST - Cooking in the kitchen

  • Spiced Persimmon & Pear Chutney - you'll have a new winter favorite condiment - it's that good!
  • Carrot Ginger Raita - Warm up with a delicious spiced yogurt.
  • Black Eyed Pea Spiced Winter Stew - Start the new year with a good luck soup that is spiced to perfection!
  • Winter Kale Pesto - Warm up with a flavorful superfood pesto.
  • Arugula Pecan Salad w/ Tahini persimmon dressing - Discover a delicious bright fresh winter salad!

12:00- 12:30 Community Virtual Lunch

12:30 - 1:30 PM PST- Break - Finish lunch and clean up your kitchen.

1:30 pm - 3:00 pm - Learn more nutrient dense cooking techniques - We'll show you how to make a medicinal digestive ghee, soaking and sprouting techniques, and ways to make deliciously spiced nuts and seeds.

Mary Sheila Gonnella has over 13 years of experience helping people reclaim their health. As a board certified holistic nutritionist and an Ayurvedic practitioner, she provides the information, insight, empowerment, and support you need to take charge of your health and live the life you were meant to live.

She creates a uniquely supportive experience for her clients and students. Her passion makes nutrition concepts come to life, leading her clients to consistently successful outcomes.

DeAnna Batdorff began her career in 1987 and is the founder of The dhyana Center of Therapeutics, Inc.

She is an Ayurvedic and Tibetan Practitioner and Educator, Massage Therapist, Western Herbalist, Nutrition Counselor and Clinical Aromatherapist.

She presently oversees The dhyana Center in the heart of Sonoma County. DeAnna is committed to inspiring all people to heal, learn and grow through elemental theory, understanding how the body works, and making the connection between mind, body, and spirit.
